This year, the procedure for making donations to the Deer Contraceptive Program has changed: the money now goes directly to Tufts. Before you forget, please write your generous, tax-deductible check to "The Trustees of Tufts University," accompanying it with a note or letter specifying use of the gift to support the Fripp Island deer contraception research of Allen Rutberg. Mail it to:
The Center for Animals and Public Policy
Tufts-Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine
200 Westboro Road
North Grafton, MA 01536
Attn: Patricia Bonner.
From May 15 to October 15, DHEC monitors water quality at 5 locations along the Fripp beach, two times a month - see http://www.scdhec.gov/water/html/beachmon.html
If water samples have unacceptable levels of the bacteria
Enterococci, DHEC issues a beach advisory and posts notices on the beach.
Current water quality information is posted at

the FIPOA has purchased two "Have A Heart" animal traps.
If feral cats or raccoons are upsetting the balance of our natural
ecosystem in your area, we will lend you a trap. Call 838-4155 for information.
